When things feel weird...

I have been wanting to write for months.


And yet I had no idea what to write about or what to share with you.


It feels like things have been changing at rapid speed. And on some days I don't know my head from my butt!


I've had days of feeling incredibly uncomfortable in my own skin, unhappy for no particular reason, lost, helpless....and the list goes on.


I used to fight those feelings, or would try to avoid it, suppress it, conceal it....none of those strategies worked. I have since learned to get present with those uncomfortable sensations, observe them, and just BE.


Being with something allows us to observe without judgement. It allows us to realize that we are not our feelings. It is an experience, a fleeting experience, which WILL change.


We also have the ability to move those energies/feelings, not from a place of fight but simply because we can.


Here is my go-to list:

  • Get an Access Bars session

  • Go out for a walk

  • Put on music I love and dance my face off

  • Move my body through yoga

  • Phone a friend

  • Listen to a podcast related to what I am experiencing
